Bharti Airtel and Vodafone are the companies which have been selling the iPhone 3G in India so far. The phone will be available starting this December from BSNL as soon as their 3G network gets launched. BSNL is a carrier company owned by the Indian government and they are upgrading their 3G network to UMTS. Vodafone and Airtel have GSM/EDGE while waiting for their portion of the 3G spectrum. The former Chicken of the Sea executive who recently filed a lawsuit against Apple has added civil conspiracy to his list of allegations regarding iPhone 3G’s network performance.
